Congratulations to my gorgeous husband!

Tim is officially a LCDR select.. whoo hoooooo.... that means more money for us! :) We just found out last week and I'm so very proud of him. BUT, that doesn't mean he'll "catch" up with me. He'll pin on just a few months before I pin on so he'll only "equal" me for that time.. then it's back to "Yes Ma'am!" Hee hee...

Looking forward to the long weekend.. little sad Summer is over, but definately ready for some cooler weather. Summers here in Memphis are way to hot.

Alexander Birthday part 1

Alexander is one lucky little boy... this year he'll be getting about a week and half of birthday celebrations. It started this past wkend here and will continue next week in Florida at Tim's parents... So here's some photos from this wkend's birthday festivities.

And yes in case you're wondering... he had NO idea what was going on... but what the hey, he got lots of toys and had yummy cake!

Holy Facebook tamolies...

Last week, my brother Arthur tells me that our high school is very active on Facebook. So that night I went on my account (one that I hadn't used in months) and signed up for the DGF Group (our H.S.. David Glasgow Farragut).. and WOW..... within a day I have over 30 "friend" invites from old friends. Many of whom I haven't talked to in 20 years. So it's been fun. Many have posted old photos and it's been to great to see them... fun and addicting, for sure! Anywhoo, if you have a facebook account, send me an invite and you too can go see photos of Monica from 20 years ago!

Dreaming...

As I sit here getting more and more uncomfortable, I can't help but dream about where I wish I was... and today it's Bora Bora. No the woman in the picture is NOT me, but really wish it was. Why can't we all win the lottery and all goto Bora Bora to live for a year or so??? Is that so much to ask for????? I don't think so... oh, I guess one has to play the lottery to win the lottery, so that's probably out for me. Anywhoo... hope all is well and I'm heading back to my Bora Bora dreams!

Oh yes, step right into the water... too amazing......

July 2008... goodness it's hot hot hot here in Memphis!!!!

So Dad's home and we haven't made it to the zoo yet (with him)... so we decided it was a good time for Alex to have his seconde visit to the Memphis Zoo.. think he enjoyed it much more this time. Seems he knew a bit more than his first visit.... goodness it was hot hot hot!!!

Let's try to post a video... Alex is about to turn two, and from this video you can see how great of a listener he is!

June 2008---- back to DC

Back to DC for a PA World Wide... this year, wasn't as "crazy" for me. Being that I'm pregnant.. wasn't able to do the drinky drinky like the year before... but still a good time and very informative. Also some days with the DC family after the conference.

DC family time -----

May 2008'ish timeframe.... here comes baby number 2!

So let's see... by May 2008, we were blessed to be pregnant with number 2... yea!!!!! We're so incredibly happy and can't wait to meet him/her. Here's an u/s from around 11 weeks. Due date is end of January 2009!

Also in May (for Memorial's day), we decided to take a family mini vaca to Lake Norfolk in Arkansas... it was a gorgeous area, unfortunately it was storming most of the wkend. So no water activities, but still nice to get away.

Caves....

Picnic at the lake... in between storms... (yes, know it's blurry)

The lake!

Merry Christmas 2007!!!

So here's to Alex's second Christmas... he made out good... lots of goodies!!!!!

And the night ends with.....

Holidays 2007....

So onto the Holidays of 2007... for some reason, I can't really remember what we did in November, so must not be much. Probably a turkey (that Kaylo mostly ate) and the normal Thanksgiving stuff! So we'll move onto December.

About 3 years ago, we bought some land in Montana and six months after we bought, there was a HUGE fire. We hadn't been up there since the fire, so we wanted to combine a ski trip with a view of the land. Red Lodge is about 30 minutes from the land, so here's some photos from skiing and land. OH, and Alex LOVED the snow. We were fortunate to have new snow the night we arrived, so the skiing was awesome!

Red Lodge below... nice, not busy at all and great snow and skiing!

Just some beautiful photos next....

Our beautiful child (at the hotel)... how can you not smile at this photo????

Okay... the land before the fire....this would be our front view... the back view is of mountains....

Land after the fire and in the winter... few more years and hopefully keep recovering itself....

But the wild life are back... if you look closely at the below, you see several deer....

Overall, GREAT trip. Wish we could find the time to get up there again before heading overseas...
